Two PhD students, Laura Beckwith and Leah Marajh, who are both associated with UCRSEA, share their memorable experiences while doing research and learning a new language in Cambodia.
Laura, who is completing her PhD at the University of Ottawa, has been based in Phnom Penh for the past year while conducting her research on climate change adaptation and urban resilience. Leah, a PhD student at the Department of Geography and Planning, University of Toronto, took part in the Khmer Language and Culture Study Program, also in Phnom Penh, this summer. She talks about the variety of activities she participated in and shares photos of her trip in her blog.
